Give Thanks – 8: Adoption
“Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. God settles the solitary in a home…” (Psalm 68:5-6a)

Today, I am thankful that our God cares for orphans. I am thankful for the adoptive families who bring these little ones into their homes and care for them as their own. I am thankful for organizations like Show Hope, which help these families by bearing some of the financial burden. And, I am thankful for churches that seek to be places where “unwanted babies become beloved children.” (Adopted for Life, pg. 79)

**Editor’s Note: Generally speaking, disagreeing with something I write will not necessarily prevent your comment from being posted. If you want to disagree with me, fine. However, I have asked that you do so kindly, and not use my blog as a platform to further your agenda. I was surprised to have received several comments on this post disagreeing with my thankfulness for adoption. You may notice that none of them have been published. As I also said in my Comment Policy, I reserve the right to edit, delete, or reject any comments that I deem to be offensive, inappropriate, or disrespectful. Because we, as believers, have been adopted into the family of God, I find anti-adoption sentiments highly inappropriate, and they will not be tolerated on this, or any future posts. Do we understand one another? Good.
Please, share your thoughts!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and opinions! While I do try to respond to each comment, as a stay-at-home pastor's wife and homeschooling mommy, my online time is quite limited!
