I Recommend…

I enjoy reading each of these blogs/sites, as I have time.  However, I do not always have time to check every post, comment thread, and link.  I trust that you will use discernment when choosing to follow a link (regardless of where, or from whom the recommendation comes),  remembering that the Word of God – not the opinion of man (or woman) - is the final authority in all matters.

Biblical Womanhood:

Christian Life:

Homemaking:

  • Raising Homemakers - ”…dedicated to inspiring, teaching and blessing mothers who have an interest in raising their daughter in godliness and preparing them in the arts of homemaking to the glory of God.”
  • Food Network - I love Italian food, so I especially love “Everyday Italian.”  And, being married to a Texan, I need some good southern cooking lessons, and Paula Deen is a great tutor!
  • The Pioneer Woman Cooks Discovered this one through Jules.  More recipes than I will ever be able to try in a lifetime, but some of them look so good – and fairly simple!  I love the step-by-step pictures too!  (Plus, she occasionally has some fun contests!)

Homeschooling:

  • Christian Home Educators Association of California -  “a non-profit ministry established in 1982 to provide information, support, and training to the home education community throughout the state.”
  • HearthKeepers – Homeschool suggestions, information, and answers for those considering, or beginning to homeschool.
  • Homeschool Blogger Company Porch – Articles from homeschooling families with advice, tips, and encouragement, on everything from curriculum suggestions and resources to organization and homemaking.  (From the publishers of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine.)
  • Homeschool Legal Defense Association - A nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms.

Adoption:

  • Abort73 - (Caution: graphic) “Abort73.com exists to cut through the skewed rhetoric of a broadly “pro-choice” culture by presenting young people with the conclusive evidence that abortion is a massive injustice, one which has and continues to systematically destroy the most innocent and helpless members of the human race.”
  • Shaohannah’s Hope – Steven Curtis Chapman’s foundation, named for the (first) little girl he and his wife adopted from China, designed to mobilize the body of Christ to care for orphans.  (James 1:27)
