2010 ~ Year In Review

“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!  Sing to him; sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works!  Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!  Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!  Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles and the judgments he uttered.” ~1 Chronicles 16:8-12 (ESV)

Dear Family and Friends,

.

Most years, the month of December finds our house filled with Christmas lights and decorations.  But, this year, the Christmas decorations have been kept to a minimum.  We are surrounded, instead, by empty cardboard boxes waiting to be filled.  This Christmas we are, once again, in the midst of an interstate move!

.

When we moved to Arizona two years ago (also at Christmastime!), we knew that another year-end move was a possibility, because Jason’s position at our church was made possible by a two-year financial gift.  This summer, as we began to realize that our time here was coming to an end, we were faced with the questions of where we would live, work, and minister in the immediate future.

.

But, we have clearly seen the sovereign hand of our Lord go before us these last few months.  Before the questions could be asked, He provided an answer.  Before the worries could be expressed, He gave peace.  He graciously gave us not just what we needed…but exceedingly and abundantly beyond what we asked, or even imagined!

.

At the end of this month, we will be moving to Texas, to be part of Grace Community Bible Church, where Jason will be the associate pastor.  (He will be working alongside fellow TMS alumni, senior pastor, Rick Kress.)  The Lord has already provided a beautiful home for us to rent, near the church, and (as an added bonus) only about an hour away from Jason’s family!

.

While we are looking forward to being near family again, we are going to miss our dear friends and church family here in Arizona!

.

This year has tested and challenged us in many ways.  But, it has also given us opportunities to trust the Lord, to rest in His promises, and to tell of His faithfulness.   We pray the same is true for each of you as well.

.

By His Grace,

..
