The Learning Space

I laughed when I saw that the theme for this week’s L.E.N.S. challenge was “Learning Spaces.”

.

Of course.

.

Well…I thought about not participating.  But, then I decided that maybe y’all could use a good laugh at my expense.

.

So, here you go:

.

.

And, because you really can’t grasp the scope of this mess in just one picture, here it is from another angle:

.

.

And, because, apparently, today I’m all about keeping it real, here is a shot of the still (mostly) empty bookcase where all of our school supplies will eventually live.

.

.

Now, before you start worrying about the state of my daughter’s education, we only moved in 2 weeks ago!  And, with restocking the refrigerator and pantry, and finding suitable clothing, I’ve been a bit preoccupied, and the school area kind of took a backseat!  That doesn’t mean learning has stopped!  There have been plenty of valuable lessons – for all of us – in the past few weeks!  But, we are definitely looking forward to getting this area organized, and getting back into a regular routine – soon!

.

(And, at least this way, I will be compelled to post a few “after” photos, just so you can see what it looks like once it is all put together!)

  2. You are right it did make me laugh….but only because of how awesome it is. I think people spend so much time trying to have the outside world think that they are perfect, so this is exactly what people need to see. Craziness, chaos, and stuff, this is what everyone has in each and everyone of their homes. I think you are very cool to post these pictures! Right on mama!!

  3. One of the biggest pluses to homeschooling is the fact that life IS the learning space. Patience with yourself and the move. Every book, paper, marker, and piece of paper will find its home. Just as you are finding yours. Blessings!

  4. Oh, I can relate to this! We moved in August…right as we were beginning school.

  7. This is great! Sometimes I want to move just so I’ll have the motivation to reorganize everything!
