Give Thanks – 6: Hannah
I honestly do not think that there are words to express just how thankful I am for this little person. Oh, I could easily go on and on about how wonderful she is! But, even at that, I don’t think can possibly explain how abundantly, and completely undeservedly blessed I am to have this little girl.
She has always had a very compassionate side. And, she hates to see anyone hurting, or sick, or upset, and is always quick to offer a hug, or a tissue, or a band-aid. Our church is participating in a food drive to provide meals for a local Thanksgiving dinner for those in need, and so we have been talking about how some people do not have enough to eat, or a home, or even mommies or daddies who love them… And, these are very difficult concepts for my soft-hearted girl to take. But, she is anxious to help – and even wants to use her own money, “from my piggy bank, Mommy” to help buy food. I am excited (and honestly, a little scared!) to see how the Lord will develop and use this tender heart to serve Him in the future.
I am so thankful for the privilege that it is to stay home with her, to get to know her unique personality and habits (good and bad), and to teach and train her. I pray each day that I might be adequate for such a huge task. Thank you, Lord, for blessing me with this sweet girl!

She’s a beautiful girl. Blessings to you as you train her up to be a woman of God.
