From the Lips of Children…

“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!” ~Psalm 118:1

 .

Hannah and I read this verse at breakfast this morning.  Then, I asked Hannah for some examples of “good things” that the Lord has done for us, that we could thank Him for.

 .

Honestly, I expected to hear her list her favorite dolls, toys, and pets.  I figured the grandparents would probably make the list…and, maybe Daddy and I would warrant a spot…

 .

Instead, this is the list she gave me:

  • “He loves us, and He saved us.”
  • “He died for us.”
  • “He takes care of us.”
  • “He protects us from stuff that could hurt us.”
  • “He gives us what we need.”
  • “He always tells the truth, and He keeps His promises.”
  • “He always bees with us, even if we can’t see Him.  Like at night, I don’t have to be scared when I am all alone, because I am not really alone.”

.

“From the lips of children and infants
       you have ordained praise…”

~Psalm 8:2 (NIV)
