Pajama Party

Hannah was so excited – her good friend, Kate, turned 5 and we got to go to her birthday party!  You would have thought that it was Hannah’s birthday, she was that excited!  Actually, I don’t think she was even this excited over her own party!!  Every morning when she woke up, her first question was, “Do I get to go to Kate’s birthday today?”  It was all she could talk about…I constantly heard “How many more days until Kate’s birthday?” and, “When can we get Kate’s present?  I’m going to get her a fish!”  A fish?!  I don’t know where these ideas come from!  She was actually quite adamant about it – until we got to the store!  Then, Kate “needed” an umbrella, a car (matchbox-type), and then she saw a Snow White doll…  Kate dressed up as Snow White for Hannah’s birthday party (and yes, she actually remembered that!), so Hannah decided that this was the perfect gift. (Kate’s nightgown had Snow White on it as well, which made Hannah extra-pleased with her choice!)

So, this morning, when I told her that the long-awaited day had actually arrived, she could hardly contain herself as we wrapped up Kate’s present, and got “dressed.”  All the girls came in their jammies and had a breakfast tea party!  (This was such a cute idea – I may have to steal it someday!)  It was so much fun, and Hannah had a great time at her first “pajama party.”
