Yes, we. Yesterday was Hannah’s first day as a Cubbie! And my first day as her Cubbies Leader!
Although Hannah was looking forward to becoming a Cubbie (especially after I taught her the Cubbies Song!), she didn’t really know what to expect. I, on the other hand, was very excited to see my little girl become part of the program that was such a huge part of my life for so long! So, I am now an Awana mom! (Not quite the same as a soccer mom, but I’ll take it! 
) I guess that means we have come full circle…Get it?  Awana…Circle…Oh, nevermind!
Hannah ended up having a great time! They had a snack, played outside, made a Cubbie Bear puppet, sang songs, listened to a story, said their verses…
Hannah said her verses with very little help (with the references, thank you very much!), and finished her “Bear Hug†booklet! She was thrilled when she got her blue vest and her Hopper book at the end of the night! (Mommy was pretty proud too!)
She was only slightly disappointed that we did not sing the Cubbies Theme Song…but she made up for that by singing it all the way home…at the top of her lungs.
